First, we would like to thank all of our members, friends, supporters and visitors for their patience over the past few months.
We have carried out a comprehensive risk assessment regarding the resumption of activity on-site and will be re-opening the reading room to a limited number of researchers by appointment only with 72 hours notice from Wednesday 16 September Wednesdays-Thursdays 11-4pm.
We have put a number of new policies and practicies in place to ensure your visit is as safe as possible. These include enhanced cleaning of the building with a focus on shared spaces, social distancing measures, requiring visitors to wear a facemask and limiting the use of shared equipment and your interactions with staff and other visitors. These measures will be outlined to you by email in advance of your visit. We appreciate your full cooperation and will continue to regularly review our risk assessment as the public health situation develops over the coming period.
In order to make an appointment please email Meirian Jump at firstname.lastname@example.org with preferred dates and details of your research interests.
Needless to say we are delighted to be reopening the doors of the Marx Memorial Library once again, and can't wait to provide access to our unique library and archive on Marxism and socialist history this autumn.
