The Marx Memorial Library is looking for an extremely well-organised Fundraising Project Manager with experience advising on fundraising strategy and using digital and social media to promote individual giving. The post-holder will report directly to the Archivist & Library Manager and will lead in promoting and developing a strategy around the on-going stewardship of our newly launched patron’s scheme.
This is a part-time role, two days (14 hours) per week over a three month (13 week) period commencing June/July depending on the current COVID-19 situation at £30,000 pro-rata (£17 per hour).

Responsibilities:

Develop a plan for promoting the patrons scheme using social media and targeted mailings

Trial and evaluating different methods and messaging (members, donors)

Assisting in overseeing the creation a social media video and promoting it through various
media platforms

Creating an information pack for volunteers on promoting the scheme and hosting associated
training sessions

Creating a fundraising volunteer role to assist in long term stewardship of the patrons scheme;
identifying on-going tasks for maintenance

Writing a report on MML patrons scheme reflecting on methodology and how it might be
maintained Specification:
Essential

Experience in a charity fundraising role

Experience working in the heritage sector; a library museum or archive OR labour movement

Experience working with volunteers

Comfortable working with social media and digital media

A sympathy with the aims and objectives of MML

Experience of project management

Good organisational skills
Desirable
• Knowledge of labour / socialist history
