The Marx Memorial Library is looking for an extremely well-organised fundraiser to manage the launch of our Patrons Scheme. The contractor will have experience managing individual giving campaigns and working in the heritage/cultural sector. They will report directly to the Archivist & Library Manager and lead in promoting and developing a strategy around the on-going stewardship a new Patron’s Scheme.
We anticipate this project taking place September to December 2020.
Email Meirian Jump, Archivist and Library Manager at for further information. The deadline for proposals is midday Monday 7 September.

The Marx Memorial Library encourages volunteers to play an active role in the life of the Library, working with full time staff and the public.

Are you able to offer a day or two a week? Do you want to help with the day-to-day running of the Library? Do you have any specialist library, archive or administrative skills? Do you want to gain experience working in a library?

Work that volunteers can assist with include:

    Running guided tours
    Membership & admin tasks
Assisting with basic archive & library jobs
    Digitising our archives
    Preparing for events and meetings

MML recruits volunteers three times a year in May; September and January.
