Back to topVOLUNTEERING
The Marx Memorial Library is supported by a large team of volunteers working alongside our full time staff. Volunteer roles support the day-to-day running of the library, including helping to make material in our collections available to researchers and providing assistance with library events. We also have occasionally have project roles working on particular collections in our holdings, which may be particularly useful for anyone interested in gaining experience of library, archive or heritage professions.
We do not currently have any volunteer roles available in the library. If you would like to be added to the waiting list to hear about any new roles please email library@marx-memorial-library.org.uk.
We have regular volunteering days on Tuesdays- Thursdays each week, 11am-4pm, as well as other opportunities to volunteer for our events. Volunteer roles are usually one day a week and we ask for a minimum of one month. Please note that as a small organisation we unfortunately are unable to support work experience placements.
If you are interested in research or finding out more about Marxism, you can book a visit to the library reading room or join our events and courses in our eduction programme. The library is open to the public and you do not need to be a member or volunteer to access our services.
