Back to topThe Marx Memorial Library has a world-class collection of archives. Major collections include our archives on the Spanish Civil War and the Print Unions and collections donated to us by figures including John Williamson, John Bernal and James Klugmann. Further information on these major collections can be found in our subject guides.
Our archives also comprise smaller discrete collections from activists including Wal Hannington, National Organiser of the National Unemployed Workers Movement, Claudia Jones, communist, anti-racist campaigner and founder of the West Indian Gazette and scholar and activist, AL Morton. Organisations including the British Soviet Friendship Society, the Marx Grave Trust and the Social Democratic Federation are also represented in our collections. The vast majority of these can be searched on our catalogue.
